EG Nodes is an Audio Unit host that allows clip-based sequencing to play external instruments, Audio Units, or MIDI hardware for the creation of comprehensive audio projects. It serves as a powerful and versatile groovebox, enabling users to perform or develop musical projects quickly and easily.

The application offers a range of built-in MIDI generation capabilities. Users can leverage different nodes to play instruments, apply effects, and perform various functions:

• NOTE/CHORD: Generates single notes or chords
• ARPEGGIO: Produces chord arpeggios
• SEQUENCER: Plays note sequences
• RHYTHM: Enables playing drums, percussion, or rhythmic instruments
• PIANO ROLL: Allows for the composition of more complex MIDI parts using a classic piano roll editor

The product boasts features like generative sequencing to continuously evolve sequences over time and support for external MIDI FX Audio Units for additional functionality. AU3 instruments, effects, and MIDI FX can be integrated to access a vast array of sounds.

Users can save and recall up to 8 main scenes to manage song structure and node combinations efficiently. Automation of parameters adds depth and complexity to compositions. Unique performances can be achieved through controllers like probability, frequency adjustments, randomization, and more offered by each node.

The flexible MIDI routing system allows for sending and receiving MIDI from external sources and configuring connections for each node. An intuitive MIDI learn setup simplifies the assignment and control of various parameters using external MIDI controllers.

EG Nodes can also be employed as an AU3 Modular Sequencer within other DAWs or hosts, providing a seamless MIDI FX generation experience. The application is universal, running on both iPad and iPhone devices, facilitating collaboration among musicians.
